Raising the next generation of space explorers
GalaxSea Explorers is an organization bringing free space education to underserved youth all over the world for free through camps, kits, digital resources, and educational materials.

🚧 Several links/pages are currently still under construction as we transition to this new website. We apologize for the inconvenience. 🚧
We're a group that closes local gaps limiting all students from having an equal-access opportunity to explore space.
GalaxSea Research
Space is a subject that NGSS standards and school district curriculum need significant data/research in the pursuit to optimize its format for students. GalaxSea Explorers is committed to making all of our program insights/data publicly available for educators.
GalaxSea Community
Through public edu-policy advocacy and extensive discussions with legislators and curriculum designers, GalaxSea Explorers is involved in the fight for increased exposure to space in classrooms, providing a platform for underprivileged communities to speak about their experiences regarding the financial and racial disparity.

Summer camps

Did you know...?
In the U.S., less than 11% of middle and high schools offer a space focused curriculum.
Despite its increasing popularity in the U.S., it is becoming harder for students to come across the topic and find that "spark", especially in financially and racially underserved communities.
Passionate minds are forced to spend hundreds of dollars on external educational sources, or give up their intellectual pursuit altogether. GalaxSea Explorers was made to change that.
DEI: Changing the Faces of Space
More than 60% of GalaxSea Explorers participants are female or nonbinary students.
56% of GalaxSea Explorers students come from underrepresented ethnic backgrounds, including Black, Hispanic, Indigenous, and other minority communities.
8% of our students attend Title 1 schools, and many, many more come from financially challenged families.
In each of our subprograms, a major focus is working together in diverse teams, understanding differences, and being able to effectively utilize backgrounds with a belief that anyone and everyone can succeed.

In Bangladesh, where over 60% of the population is under the age of 35, education is a key focus—but access to quality STEM and space education remains scarce. Despite being home to some of the most resilient and creative young minds in the world, many Bangladeshi students grow up without the resources to explore the stars—literally and figuratively. Public science funding is extremely limited, and few schools offer hands-on space-related curriculum, much less affordable STEM coursework in general. And particularly for students in rural or low-income areas, telescopes, lab kits, or even updated science textbooks are distant luxuries.
Our Bangladesh chapter president Farhan Sabit voiced: "For me, space isn’t just empty darkness – it’s a giant puzzle filled with questions waiting to be explored. Why do planets form the way they do? How do galaxies change over time? What else is out there – beyond what we can see? STEM gives us the tools to chase those questions. It’s where math meets imagination and where science turns curiosity into discovery. Growing up, I didn’t always have access to good lab equipment or up-to-date books, but I still found ways to explore – with simple experiments, stargazing, or building things out of what I had. I believe every student should have that chance – to build, test, ask big questions, and imagine even bigger answers. That’s why I’m proud to be a part of GalaxSea Explorers."

In Canada, a nation renowned for its contributions to space exploration through the Canadian Space Agency and innovations like the Canadarm, there's still work to be done in making STEM education truly accessible to all young people. While Canada boasts strong educational infrastructure, disparities exist between urban centers like Toronto and Vancouver and remote communities, particularly in the northern territories and rural areas. Many Indigenous communities and smaller towns lack access to advanced laboratory equipment, updated technology, and specialized STEM programming that could ignite the next generation of space explorers.
Our Canada chapter president Daniel Emrich says, " Ever since I was around five or six years old, I have been fascinated by space and its many mysteries. The vastness of the universe, the formation of galaxies, and the possibility of life beyond Earth have always captured my imagination. As I've grown, my curiosity has only deepened, and I love exploring how space contrasts with life on our planet. Through GalaxSea Explorers, I hope to expand my knowledge, engage in discussions with like-minded individuals, and explore new ideas about wonders of the cosmos."
